Generations come and go, yet the Boston Red Sox home remains, much like on opening day, April 20, 1912. Harking back to an era before so-called state-of-the-art parks began replacing fields steeped in hot dog and mustard lore, Fenway Park is the smallest major league ball park, its record attendance of 47,627 (for a Sept. 22, 1935 Yankees doubleheader) now reduced by fire laws to a capacity of 33,871. Getting Around

Boston has a number of "trolleys" (buses made to look like trolleys) that can be a fun way to get around the city. For over 85 years, Boston Logan International Airport has served as the center of aviation and gateway to New England. Boston Logan Airport is New England’s largest transportation center. Logan ranks 19th in the nation in passenger volume and 16th in flight movements. The airport encompasses approximately 2,400 acres in East Boston and Winthrop, Massachusetts. Of that amount, 700 acres are water. More than 12,000 people work at Logan, and the economic activity generated is approximately $7 billion a year.

The airport is comprised of six runways, 14 miles of taxiway, and 237 acres of concrete and asphalt apron. The Airport has four terminals, A, B, C and E (International Gateway), each with its own ticketing, baggage claim, and ground transportation facilities. There are 102 gate positions at Logan which are available for both scheduled and non-scheduled service
